BEFORE MOVING

• Familiarize yourself with the rules and regulations of the local schools and parks of your new neighborhood.
• Visit your veterenarian before moving.
• Make sure the pets ID tag and chip are up to date.

WHILE MOVING

• Travel with a pet carrier – either a crate or travel kennel. Make sure the carrier is big enough so your pet can stand, turn, and lie down.
• Keep a pet travel kit with you.
• Stay in hotels that accept pets.
• Carry a recent photo of your pet and put important information on the back.

ARRIVING AT YOUR NEW HOME

• Take time to carefully introduce your pet to your new home to make sure it’s comfortable.
• Remove odors from previous pets.
• Return to its daily feeding and exercise schedule.
• Set up your animals bed toys, and bowls in a location similar to your former home.
