🍩Donut Worry!🍩 It’s National Donut Day!

DONUT WORRY!

Friday, June 1st, 2018 is National Donut Day!

If you’re looking for some amazing ways to get your hands on donuts, here are some we found going on in Portland, Oregon:

Blue Star Donuts is releasing a surprise new donut at all seven Portland Metro locations and will be donating 10% of the day’s donut proceeds to Saturday Academy, a local nonprofit that offers science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) classes, camps, and internships to kids in grades 2 through 12. We love the idea of giving back on one of the busiest donut days of the year!

Entenmann’s, sold in grocery stores nationwide, has a pretty cool contest going on right now. The company is soliciting applications to be deemed Chief Donut Officer, which comes with a year’s worth of doughnuts and a $5,000 cash award. Four runners up will receive $1,000, and a one-year supply of donuts. We’re thinking of applying ourselves! Patricia Kirk is currently pregnant, and is the ideal candidate, Entenmann’s!

Krispy Kreme, with over 300 stores nationwide — including ones in Beaverton, Clackamas, and Vancouver, Washington — is offering any free donut! No purchase is necessary. Careful – these ones melt in your mouth and you’ll have to buy another dozen!

Sesame Donuts‘ with locations in Portland, Hillsboro, Tigard, Sherwood and Aloha will give a free mini doughnut in celebration of National Donut Day. Patricia Kirk brings her daughter here once a week to get a donut before school – again – ideal candidate for Chief Donut Officer.

Voodoo Doughnuts in Portland and Eugene will sell a special National Donut Day “funfetti doughnut” on June 1 (seen above). Locations in Colorado and Texas will also likely share the special, but Voodoo officials could not confirm that on Thursday. The “Funfetti Doughnut” will have sprinkles in the mix and strawberry/vanilla frosting on top — with extra sprinkles.
